Screen filters directly intercept impurities in water through stainless steel screens, featuring simple structure, low head loss, low cost and easy installation. They are widely used in small and medium-sized irrigation systems, landscaping and domestic water filtration.
Key maintenance points: 1. Clean the screen regularly. After the filter runs for a period of time, impurities will accumulate on the screen surface, and the pressure difference between the water inlet and outlet will increase. At this time, the screen needs to be removed for cleaning. The cleaning frequency depends on the quality of the water source: river water sources with poor water quality may require cleaning once a week, while the cleaning interval for well water sources can be appropriately extended. 2. Pay attention to the installation direction. Screen filters have requirements for the water flow direction, and must be installed in accordance with the flow direction arrow marked on the shell. Reverse installation will lead to filtration failure or even damage to the filter element. 3. Winter freeze protection. When irrigation is stopped in winter in northern regions, the sewage outlet should be opened to drain the accumulated water in the filter to prevent the shell from cracking due to freezing. 4. Check sealing parts. Regularly inspect the O-ring seals and clamps, and replace them in time if aging is found to prevent water leakage. 5. Combined application. Screen filters can be used alone, or combined with centrifugal filters and sand filters as the final fine filtration link to improve the overall filtration reliability of the system.
