Current State of Agriculture in Algeria

Recent statistics show that Algeria relies heavily on rain-fed farming and traditional irrigation methods, leading to substantial waste of water resources. The local Ministry of Agriculture estimates that irrigation water waste reaches as high as 40% in some regions.
